ACCREDITED ANALYSES
Food hygiene regulations require that all producers of ready-to-eat products where there is a risk of occurrence or growth of Listeria monocytogenes must perform ListeriaListeria testing of products, production environments, and processing equipment. The requirement is to use the reference method (ISO 11290-1) for L.monocytogenes or an alternative method validated as equivalent to the reference method. A significant disadvantage of the reference method ISO 11290-1 is that it takes approximately 5 days to obtain a final result. This reduces the possibility of implementing appropriate risk-reducing measures, such as removing products before they reach the market or cleaning processing equipment to eliminate contamination with L.monocytogenes.
The advantage of the reference method is its detection sensitivity and thus reliability. We offer two different recognized alternative methods for performing LM analysis, where reliability and sensitivity have been validated as at least equivalent to the reference method.
Both methods guarantee a final result within 24–48 hours.
